The product, in the report: Croc toddler shoe size c4. This was purchased by a family member and given as a gift. Unsure where purchased.
13 month old wearing a pair of crocs and we noticed the plastic button piece connecting the strap to the shoe broke and fell off. He only wore these shoes 3 times. This is a serious choking risk and very concerning had we not noticed.

Emergency room Made Aug 8, 2024, sent to the company Aug 14, 2024, published by CPSC Aug 28, 2024
The product, in the report: Kids Classic Clog; Standard closed toe rubber clogs manufactured by Crocs.
My 5-year old daughter was wearing soft rubber closed toe clogs manufactured by Crocs. She suffered trauma to her right foot while riding an escalator at [REDACTED] airport in [REDACTED] after the escalator pulled the Croc between the escalator side wall and moving stairs, including part of her foot. She was immediately taken to a local hospital emergency room. She suffered severe lacerations to her toes and potential tendon damage. The incident happened very quickly. Her parents were riding directly in front of and behind her. She was lifted up immediately when she started screaming and the escalator then immediately pulled the Croc under the side wall, forcing the escalator emergency auto off function. If she was not pulled and lifted up at the exact moment she was, we fear the escalator would have likely pulled her foot down further into the machine causing more severe trauma. I understand there are several reports of similar incidents. I think it is important to report this incident to you as wearing these types of rubber shoes on standard escalators is unsafe, especially for children and other vulnerable groups considering the popularity of these shoes.

Hurt, care not known Made Oct 10, 2014, sent to the company Dec 3, 2014, published by CPSC Dec 17, 2014
The product, in the report: W Size 10/M size 8 open heel Crocs Shoes (sized for men and women) Serial Number: Navy-8-4115800273-3 (Navy bar code Black-8-4115800245-0 (Black bar code)
Purchased two pair of Crocs brand shoes approximately two months ago for comfort after (foot surgery) on the side of her left foot near the heel.
She had never worn this type of shoe before this time.
She purchased one black pair and one blue pair.
The blue pair of Crocs causes a slight rash but the black pair causes an extreme rash to both feet on all part of her feet that are in direct contact with the shoe material except the bottom.
Rash is a very itchy outbreak that breaks out every area that the shoes touch the upper foot.
She has not seen a physician for this rash but can localize it to wearing these shoes.
She has not contacted the manufacturer, she said she likes the shoes but cannot wear them without breaking out and she believes that they would be more inclined to listen to a CPSC representative than they would to her.
She will not be contacting the manufacturer.

First aid Made Sep 30, 2014, sent to the company Oct 8, 2014, published by CPSC Oct 30, 2014
The product, in the report: Crocs Women Slide Cleo x3 Black, Pink, Blue Crocs Women Meleen Wedge Sandal x2 Navy and Leopard
I have a work acquired allergy to natural rubber latex proteins. When I was initially tested in 1992 they used [REDACTED]. I was positive for all of the set. One allergy, to petroleum, has really presented itself now in the form of Crocs. I gave up my [REDACTED] since they contain natural rubber latex proteins. I substituted them with the Crocs line of sandals. Lo and behold, my great toes right and left and the soles of my feet were peeling, since the skin is the largest organ in the body it’s essential that I have my skin intact at all times. Last summer I wore 2 pairs without problems. My problem is with the 3 pairs I bought this year. Their negative impact on my feet means I may have to stop wearing them in order to keep my skin intact. I used the sandals as anyone would. I rotate them - 5 pairs- but that may not work. I called Crocs and their replay is attached. They refused to tell me what “glue” is used and it there any latex in them. They verbally replied, after I got their reply, to contact a lawyer, since what I was asking for was proprietary information and they refused to release it. Their letter was not informative at all! My toes have small slits where the shoes touch them. My heels and soles peel continuously.

The product, in the report: Crocs shoe/sandal
My daughter crocs sandal and foot was caught by the elevator when going up at the mall. I was told recently that there were many of similar incidents and was shocked to know that this company did not informed of such product hazard and still selling it. The govt should ban such product or at the very least require them to acknowledge potential hazard so that can avoid having innocent child’s to suffer from further injuries.

No one hurt Made Apr 18, 2012, sent to the company Apr 25, 2012, published by CPSC May 16, 2012
The product, in the report: Crocs (classic design) child size 6/7
My son 20 month old was wearing a brand new pair of Crocs that I purchased at Bob’s store for him size 6/7 and he was able to remove the back strap. When the strap was removed the small “button” with the Crocs logo came off and he put it in his mouth. I was able to sweep the button out before he choked on it so he was unharmed however I believe this could cause an issue with another child if not resolved. Tow days ago I reported this to Crocs however as of this time I have not received any feedback from them that they have even received my submission on their web site.
