The product, in the report: Aldo Shoes Group Brand mid-calf boots Model: Ridlen DSC #: 13-05-04 Color: Black Heel Height: 1.13 inches Material: Leather Size: 40
Received a pair of Aldo Shoes brand boots (Ridlen model) from my boyfriend for Christmas. Owned them for about a month. Today I stepped over a floor runner while entering my college cafeteria, and the heel of the boot broke clean off. I was not injured or harmed. I had to carefully limp and balance the defective shoe for the rest of the day until I got home from school.
After doing some research, others online have reported (although it is inconclusive whether they have reported to this agency) their Aldo brand shoes breaking at the heel. This is a serious safety hazard that Aldo seems to be ignoring. What if I was walking down the stairs and this happened? I could have been injured or even paralyzed by the fall. Aldo needs to be investigated for quality assurance practices.
