The product, in the report: Zugoni Indoor Far Infrared Sauna Room ,Low EMF 5 Heating Panels 1400W Therapy for Personal Wooden Dry with Bluetooth Speakers LED Lamp 1 Person Home Spa
On July 6, 2026, the Prahalum Zugoni 1-Person Far Infrared Sauna purchased via Amazon was being used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. The sauna was connected to a dedicated electrical circuit and outlet that were installed specifically for the sauna by a licensed electrician in accordance with the installation requirements. It was not connected to an extension cord or power strip. While in normal use, the sauna caught fire. This was not simply an overheating event or a minor malfunction. The sauna ignited, producing visible flames, and my family had to manually extinguish the fire to prevent it from spreading. Thankfully, no one was injured. However, had we not been home and able to respond immediately, I believe the fire could have resulted in significant property damage, serious injury, or even loss of life. I am deeply concerned that another family may not be as fortunate if a similar failure were to occur while they were asleep or away from home. Immediately after the incident, I documented the damage with photographs and preserved the burned panel where the fire originated and shared with Amazon - all I got from them was a note saying that my claim is denied (while it feels a refund is warranted my greater concern was their lack of concern about the safety of a product that continues to be sold on Amazon). The sauna sustained catastrophic damage in the fire and is not repairable or safe to use. Fortunately, the fire was contained before it spread beyond the sauna itself, so there is no structural property damage requiring repair and therefore no repair estimate to provide. Because this product ignited during normal use and required manual extinguishment, I respectfully request that this incident be thoroughly investigated as a product safety matter. I also request an appropriate resolution for the total loss of the sauna following your investigation. Please let me know if you require any additional photographs, documentation, or information. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to your response.
