  1. Hurt, no treatment

Made Jul 16, 2020, sent to the company Aug 3, 2020, published by CPSC Aug 17, 2020

The product, in the report: Red Shiatsu Foot Massager: SPECIFICATIONS: Overall Dimensions: 22”(L) x 12”(W) x 10”(H) Weight: 13.5 lbs. Power: 40W, 110v AC No assembly required

Dear Sir or Madam: On July 1, 2020 I purchased a Slabway “Shiatsu Foot Massager” (Invoice Number: [REDACTED]), via their website. The cost of this product was $119.91, plus $19.99 for shipping. The product arrived to my home on July 8, 2020. I removed it from the box & powered it on for use. The first thing I noticed was the tremendous firmness of the massage. The firmness was so aggressive; that I couldn’t complete a five minute massage, because it actually hurt my entire feet. The next day (07/09/2020), I attempted to call Slabway the entire day, but the voice message explains that; Slabway is unable to take any calls & suggests that consumers email the support team for further assistance. The message also mentions for the consumer to not leave multiple emails, because it’ll take the support team longer. This was completely unacceptable for me so I went to the website for answers. I completed a (RMA) refund form via the Slabway website & emailed the support team regarding a refund as well as an address to ship the product back to. One week later I haven’t received any correspondence regarding my refund or an accurate address, to ship & return the product. The Slabway website states that there’s a stocking fee for all items. Why is there a restocking fee? How much is the restocking fee? However, a return shipping address is not listed anywhere on the site. As a consumer, I need to know where this product can be shipped back to? As well as how long will it take to process my refund? It should not take days or weeks to process anyone’s refund or to answer simple questions. Slabway’s policy also states that a refund can only be processed 30 days after the product has shipped. So, the urgency of a correspondence from Slabway is imperative. I need to a refund & I need to know where I can ship their product back to immediately. I believe Slabway is hindering the refund/return process by not corresponding to my request at all. Please feel free to let me know, if there’s anything more you’ll need from me. Kind Regards, [REDACTED]
