As each report says it, in short words; CPSC’s own words are under each.

The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Seen by a doctor or nurse

Made Jun 20, 2011, sent to the company Jan 5, 2012, published by CPSC Jan 20, 2012

The product, in the report: Sexual Wellness - Adult Toys - Male Masturbator

Product was used by myself in accordance with all safety instructions. Was used on the genitals for several minutes, as the product was designed to be used. Personal lubrication was used which on previous usage by itself did not cause any problems. Product was used one time for 5 to 10 minutes with direct skin contact and rubbing on the penis, and then subsequently discarded. Immediately experienced cough, difficulty breathing, sick feeling in stomach, and headache. Symptoms continued for several days and worsened into sore throat, severe coughing, loose stools, and irritation of the penis, excessive urination, spontaneous constriction of genitals. Genitals coated with an oily chemical residue that is highly resistant to removal from the skin. This acute phase lasted for several weeks, and less severe symptoms persist after several months.

This is the third time I have used this product (in three years, each time purchasing a new one) and had nearly identical symptoms each time. Manufacturer insists it could not have been caused by their product. Urinalysis on two separate occasions showed no bacterial infection, but traces of blood in urine. Chemical composition of product is manufacturer secret, and they claim it’s not made from latex or silicone, and that it’s non-allergenic and phthalate-free. Allergist cannot confirm allergy due to unknown ingredients.

The majority of users of this product have not reported any similar problems. I believe in certain conditions this product is highly dangerous to human health, whether a person has an allergy, a person is genetically predisposed to having a sensitivity to the product, accidental misuse, errors in manufacturing, contaminated source materials used in manufacturing, or other unknown factors.
