The reports, as CPSC published them

Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. First aid

The product, in the report: jelly dildo

I had purchased a sex toy product that was marketed, sold and packaged as a Doc Johnson Enterprises product. The jelly dildo was used for the 1st time, and prior to use had been rinsed in plain water.

On the evening of the 16th of October 2013, I inserted the head only of the Doc Johnson branded gel dildo in my girlfriends vagina, and within 1 minute she demanded that it be removed as she was experiencing an extreme and overwhelming burning sensation and pain around her outer labia, inner labia and the entrance of her vagina.

She immediately rushed to the bath and flushed her vagina with warm water. This had minimal effect, and she next tried milk, and finally used a baby shampoo in the shower. The pain remained extremely intense for approximately an hour during these flushing/decontaminations stages, and became more bearable over the course of the next 2 hours. Some 20 hours on the majority of the feelings and affect have subsided.

Whilst I initially thought this may have been an allergic reaction, I placed the dildo on my tongue for a millisecond, and was able to explain a burning/tingling sensation that resembled my girlfriends experience, albeit with less significant symptoms. The sensation on my tongue, despite rinsing with water and milk, remained for about 3 hours.

Please note that I have withheld the victims details as a/ I was the products purchaser and b/we are concerned that she may be subjected to further suffering through her name being released. However, if it is necessary to speak to her directly this will be OK.

I have been unable to upload the audio file, but I have a 21 minute voice recording of the sheer pain and agony my partner was experiencing, that commenced recording some 15 to 20 minutes into the incident. If you provide me with an email address to send this separately it will help you to understand the seriousness and gravity of this event.
