Reports people made to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. CPSC publishes each one after sending it to the company named, and doesn’t guarantee they’re accurate. A report isn’t a recall.

Each report is the words of the person who made it, as CPSC published them. The company’s comments, where CPSC published any, are set apart as the company’s own.

  1. Emergency room

Made Mar 12, 2012, sent to the company Mar 20, 2012, published by CPSC Apr 5, 2012

The product, in the report: Children’s sunglasses. Black. On front of frame in the middle there is the Batman symbol with “Dark Knight” written inside. On left lens, there is a picture of Batman. On both the right and left temple, there is another picture of Batman. On temple tips, there is the Batman symbol with :Dark Knight” written inside. The inside of the frames purple.

I took my 3 year 10 month old boy to the playground. It was sunny, so I put his sunglasses on. He tripped and fell forward. The inside of the rim of the sunglasses cut him all the way through on the right side of his left eyebrow. The wound required three sutures. He is also bruised around the left eye in the same footprint as the rim of the sunglasses. I examined the sunglasses and the inner rim that goes over the bridge of the nose is rather pointy and hard.
