The product, in the report: Remington Pro Air Optima 1875 hair dryer, model D-3200N, UL listed 2615, Made in China

The hair dryer caught on fire. My wife was using the hair dryer to dry her hair. She noticed smoke coming from the hair dryer. She then unplugged the hair dryer from the wall outlet and called me. I reconnected the unit to the power source. Smoke was coming from the case at the heat control selector. I unplugged the dryer. and got my camera to take a video. The video does show smoke and flame coming from within the dryer. No injuries occurred. I am not sure when this hair dryer was purchased, but it was used for less than 60 hours.

The product, in the report: Remington T Studio Hair Dryer Model #AC 9140 (Purple). Thermaluxe Advanced Thermal Technology, tangle free fabric cord.

I just bought this Remington T Studio Hair Dryer Model # AC9140 yesterday and when I went to use it I heard something rattling inside. When I turned on the dryer (thank God it wasn’t pointed towards me) the tip of a blade flew out and hit the wall. It hit with so much force that it left an indention in my wall. I don’t want anyone to get injured if this occurs with any other of this same model. I took a picture of the blade and the indention in the wall but am unable to attach it in this response. Once you respond back in an email I will be more than happy to send you the picture.
