The product, in the report: [REDACTED] blow dryer in pink. Input 125V, 60Hz, 12A
Plugged in [REDACTED] blow dryer to dry hair it was stopping and starting on it’s own. I checked outlet connection twice and turned it back on then sparks and fire came from the area where the cord is connected to the handle of dryer. I was caught by surprise and desperately tried to unplug the dryer. After it was unplugged I threw it on the floor and it stopped sparking and flaming. I was sitting on my bed while this happened my bed which could have caught fire from sparks and flames. Later I found a hole in my shirt I was wearing at the time of the fire the hole was surrounded by black marks. This could have been a disaster . I have limited mobility and this was a frightening experience.
