The product, in the report: One N Only Argan Heat hair dryer. Now owned by Beauty Quest Group. Black, about 12 inches long. I think the model# is ONOMH6705. 60Hz 1875W Model ONOMH6705 UPC 0 74108 23882 5

8:30am 12/21 back end of blow dryer (One N Only Argan Heat now owned by Beauty Quest Group) shot something out (like a small firecracker going off) with no prior warning of smell or sparks while I was drying my hair. Shot a hole through my shirt and hit my stomach (adult female) causing a burn to my stomach. I immediately took a photo and continue to do so periodically. To date the area is not completely healed. As I was completing this form and looking more closely at the device I noticed that the electrical cord, where it attaches to the dryer, is melted. So, it is most likely that it sent out an electrical shock. I am very careful with all of my appliances making certain I am never kinking the cord when in use or when stored.

Teleconferenced with physician at 4:30pm on 12/21. Antibiotic prescription filled should area become infected.

Left message with Beauty Quest Group at 11:50am on 12/23 regarding the incident and received an immediate call from their Technical Services dept who forwarded and email to Claims which included photos, details of the incident, and photos of the device. I have reached out on three occasions and have received no response from their claims department.

Received return call from manufacturer regarding incident.
