My 19 year old daughter was using a l”Ange Le Due Classic - the Grande size - color black (item 2473) it is a curling blow dryer. She was using it to dry her hair and it started smoking and smelling like burning and then shut off and turned back on and shut off again. No injuries occurred and I contacted the manufacturer for a refund.

On Thanksgiving day I was electrocuted while unplugging my L’ANGE HAIR Le Volume 2-in-1 Titanium Brush Dryer from the outlet. My hands were dry and the device was powered off at the time.
I was electrocuted in my left hand, up my left arm and into my chest. I immediately took myself to the ER. At the ER, an EKG and a number of lab tests were performed. When my tests came back normal, I was discharged.
The following day, I had an electrician to my home to inspect the outlet and the electricity within my home. He found nothing, and concluded that the device must be solely responsible for my being electrocuted.
I am seeking reimbursement for the cost of the device, my hospital bills and the cost of the electrician visit.
I notified the manufacturer of my complaint via the email form on their website on 11/27 and indicated that I would be filing a report with the CPSC
