    I bought the ISO Professional Hair Dryer Christmas of 2016. Model number is HD-1820. I was very happy with it but it started shorting out. I would have to hold it a certain way to keep it running. Today sparks shot out of the base where the cord connects. I went on line to find the company contact and found out the model has been recalled due to this problem. Add my experience to the record.

    I was using my ISO hair dryer when the medium setting stopped working. It was followed immediately by a loud pop and a spark. The hair dryer became quite hot.

    Using the ISO hair Dryer (model HD-1820) and it sparked and blew the cord apart at the base of the dryer where the cords enter’s the unit. Burned my palm and small finger. I have the unit here still if needed.

    During use of hair dryer I noticed an odd smell and the smoke coming from the unit. I quickly unplugged and pried the back off in order to cool it so it didn’t start on fire. It was never used again.
