I purchased an ISO Beauty Ionic Dryer Pro 2000W Hair Dryer for my daughter-in-law on December 1, 2016 as a Christmas present. She told me that in July 2017, the hair dryer “burned out” on her. It sparked and smoked, but she was not injured.

I was drying my hair when the hair dryer made a loud pop noise and then shot fire out. The fire burned a hole through my shirt, underclothes and burned my skin. There will be a scar. My hand that was holding the hair dryer was left with a black shiny residue, and my fingertip was singed. I threw the hair dryer onto the floor, it landed on my bathroom rug, where a few flames shot out and then it stopped. My rug was also damaged.
