No incident, no one hurt Made Dec 17, 2025, sent to the company Dec 31, 2025, published by CPSC Jan 15, 2026
The product, in the report: Dyson Airwrap i.d. multi-styler and dryer Straight+Wavy (Prussian Blue/Rich Copper), plus the 1.6” Airwrap long barrel attachment. It’s a hair dryer + styler that has different attachments to help with brushing, adding curls, etc.
My wife was using a Dyson Airwrap i.d. fresh out of the box, and attempted to use the 1.6 inch long barrel attachment since she has long hair. She noticed that a plastic piece on the attachment was loose on one side. She called me in, we attempted to place it back in its place, and then she went to use it. After my wife turned the machine on, the plastic piece flew off into the air. Luckily, no one was hurt, but it easily could have hit one of us in the eye.

The product, in the report: Dyson - Airwrap Multi-Styler Complete Long - Nickel/Copper
I recently experienced an electrical safety issue with my Dyson Airwrap. While using the device as intended, I felt a strong electric shock from the handle area. This incident could have caused serious injury. I am very concerned that this product may pose a safety hazard to other users as well.
I request that this product be investigated for potential electrical safety defects. Please let me know if you need further details.

No one hurt Made Feb 25, 2024, sent to the company Mar 6, 2024, published by CPSC Mar 20, 2024
The product, in the report: Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer
I purchased a Dyson hair dryer through a seller on eBay. The seller shipped the item and soon after the listing was removed due to violating policy. When I received the item, it worked at first and then all of a sudden got really hot, began to smell like it was burning, stopped working, with only lights flashing but no hair drying power. I then began researching and the item is counterfeit, and has a plug that is not allowed in the United States. It has a two-prong plug but no reset/test red and yellow buttons that are required. I reached out to Dyson and received official confirmation that the item is counterfeit. However, eBay wants me to return the item to the seller after knowing the item is counterfeit. eBay is encouraging the transportation of a counterfeit good through the United States Mail and does not seem to care that the counterfeit item is going to end up in the hands of the same seller who sold the counterfeit item in the first place. I am not sure if this is the correct place to report this, but please direct me to the right place if it is not.
