The product, in the report: Curlsmith Defrizzion Hair Dryer / Travel Hair Dryer & Diffuser Line
The intake valve on the Curlsmith hair dryer line presents a severe design and safety defect for consumers with long hair. During standard, expected product usespecifically, holding the head upside down to utilize the included diffuser attachmentthe rear air suction repeatedly and aggressively pulled my long hair past the protective grate and into the active internal mechanism. This required immediate emergency shutdown of the unit to avoid further injury. Extracting the hair from the active suction zone required forcibly yanking it free, causing extensive structural hair breakage and thermal singeing. There are no warning or cautionary labels on the manufacturer’s packaging, manuals, or retail websites alerting users with long hair to this hazard. Widespread public complaints from other verified buyers outline this exact mechanical failure, demonstrating that this is an inherent manufacturing defect rather than user error. The extreme risk of hair being drawn into an electrical heating motor poses an immediate safety threat regarding hair damage and fire/scalp burn hazards.
