First aid Made Jun 24, 2017, sent to the company Aug 24, 2017, published by CPSC Sep 18, 2017
The product, in the report: Bed Head for Tigi “Mindblower” hairdryer. It is two toned. Silver on top, pink on the bottom. This is a full sized hairdryer, not travel sized.
Hairdryer abruptly stopped working. Sometimes the plug falls out of the sockets, so I made sure it was firmly in the socket. I bent over to continue blowing my hair dry, and the hairdryer arched. It burnt a hold through my shirt and burned my abdomen. The arch appear to come out of the bottom of the handle and through the top of the cord. Prior to the incident, I noticed the case appeared melted. I should have discontinued use at that point.
