  1. No one hurt

Made Jul 24, 2017, sent to the company Nov 9, 2017, published by CPSC Nov 27, 2017

The product, in the report: Drinking Water Cooler Hot & Cold White Dispenser (No Spill) Dimensions: 38”/12.5”/13.5” (H/W/D)

The cold water cooler tank suddenly started leaking water from the back of the unit. The water dripped down onto the compressor and electrical wiring. The water bottle had not been changed for approximately 1 week prior, and the dispenser had not been used for at least 24 hours prior to the incident. I was in the next room and I heard the sound of water dripping on the floor, so I was able to immediately unplug the unit and clean up the spill. Had I not been in the area, or had the leak occurred at time when the building was not occupied, I’m concerned that it could have sparked a fire or caused water damage. The water cooler unit is fairly new at less than 6 months old. This is the second time I have encountered this incident with this model of water cooler. Our previous unit was replaced with this unit in February 2017 because it also started to suddenly leak water on the compressor and electrical components.
