The product, in the report: Tetrafauna Aquatic Reptile Heater: For frogs, newts, & turtles
I put a Tetrafauna Aquatic Reptile Heater in my pet turtle’s water to keep it warm on a cold night while she slept. It is supposed to turn on and off automatically keeping the water temperature between approximately 75 and 85 degrees (the thermostat is preset at 78 degrees). Well that night it turned on, went to the maximum temperature, and never turned off. I found my deceased 32 year old pet turtle the next morning. The water temperature was at a scorching 120 degrees.
