The product, in the report: SunSun 845-GPH Internal Filter
(10/8/16 Estimated) The consumer plugged in the filter and a few minutes later he noticed the water blackened. The consumer also noticed that the fishes that were inside were dead. The consumer immediately hit the emergency shut off. The consumer then contacted Amazon to inform them of the safety hazard the filter poses and he was told to send the filter back to Amazon.
(10/12/16) The consumer contacted the National Fire Service Professional Qualifications Board and he was advised that he is legally required to report this matter to CPSC since he is a licensed professional.
The consumer believes that this product poses an electrocution hazard. The consumer believes if this incident happens and a person reaches in the tank to get their fish they could be electrocuted or killed.
The consumer would like to contact the firm but he has not been able to obtain their contact information. The consumer states that Amazon did not disclose their information.
