The product, in the report: Aquarium Co-op 50 watt and 100 watt aquarium heaters.

-The product almost started a house fire. -The product electrified aquarium water killing pets and shocking myself. - Aquarium Co-Op brand aquarium heater -The product is used to heat aquarium water - the product was being used as specified and malfunctioned causing a unctrolled electrical discharge into the heating element and the water. -Injuries were sustained by several pets including fish, invertebrates, and plants. -I was also midly shocked which could have lead to further injuries if i wasnt prepared and educated on electrical safety. -The company is aware of the issue, the stopped selling the product, but have not notified customers who own the heaters of the danger. -If i was not home to smell the smoke this would have resulted in a house fire. -I warned the company of the danger, but they did not feel the need to notify consumers or recall their product. -Aquarium co-op branded heaters need to be recalled for public safety. -I have owned 10 of their heaters- 7 have failed - 1 very dangerous failure
