The short answer

NHTSA received PREVOST CAR, INCORPORATED’s report on Oct 5, 1994. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 28, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

THE INTERFERENCE MAY AFFECT STEERING CONTROL AND CAN EVENTUALLY CAUSE FAILURE OF THE STEERING DRAG LINK AND/OR DAMAGE TO THE BRAKE SLACK ADJUSTER . IN EITHER CASE, IT MAY RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT.

INTERFERENCE OF THE “DRAG LINK” WITH AN ADJUSTING SCREW OF THE LEFT DISC BRAKE SLACK ADJUSTER COULD OCCUR WHEN EXTREME SUSPENSION MOVEMENT IS COMBINED WITH MAXIMUM STEERING ANGLE.

What should you do?

THE DRAG LINK ON ALL INVOLVED VEHICLES AND THE STEERING ARM ON CERTAIN VEHICLES WILL BE REPLACED TO ELIMINATE THE INTERFERENCE.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
  • This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
