What’s wrong with it?
TREAD SEPARATION WOULD LEAD TO A THUMPING NOISE ANDVIBRATION IN USE. IF NOT SERVICED, TREAD SEPARATION COULD LEAD TO PLY CORDSBREAKING AND TEARING OF THE TUBELESS LINER, RESULTING IN LOSS OF INFLATING AIRAND STEERING CONTROL.
UNDERCURED TIRES MAY DEVELOP BELT OR TREAD SEPARATION CAUSED BY A LACK OF ADHESION OF THE BELT TO THE TREAD.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Which tires, by their DOT codes: the range is in the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site, not in this file. Check the code on your tire’s sidewall against it.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
