What’s wrong with it?
FAILURE OF THE LEG ALLOWS THE TORQUE TO DROP ANDPOSSIBLY CAUSE INJURY TO THE PERSON WORKING WITH THE EQUIPMENT.
THE TORQUE OF CONVERTER DOLLY IS HELD UP BY A SUPPORT LEG WHICH UNLATCHES AND FOLDS UP BETWEEN THE FRONT OF THE A-FRAME WHEN UNIT IS IN OVER THE ROAD USE.
THIS LEG MAY FAIL TO SUPPORT THE UNIT WHEN IN THE PROCESS OF COUPLING OR UNCOUPLING JIFFLOX FROM THE TRACTOR/TRAILER.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
