What’s wrong with it?
The notice gives no hazard in a field of its own.
THE INVOLVED VEHICLES ARE IN NON-COMPLIANCE TO FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 121, “AIR BRAKE SYSTEMS”, DUE TO OMISSION OF A SUFFICIENT AIR RESERVOIR CAPACITY AND A QUICK RELEASE VALVE IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE PINTLE HOOK.
LACK OF AIR RESERVOIR CAPACITY COULD, IN A PANIC STOP SITUATION AT HIGH SPEED OR ON A SHARP INCLINE, CAUSE ALL OF THE AIR TO BE RELEASED BEFORE THE VEHICLE IS BROUGHT TO A COMPLETE STOP.
ALSO, LACK OF THE QUICK RELEASE VALVE DELAYS THE REACTION TIME BEYOND ACCEPTABLE LIMITS.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- This recall names only model years before 2015, which have no pages here. Your VIN, at NHTSA, says which recalls are open on a vehicle.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
