The short answer

NHTSA received Farber Specialty Vehicles’s report on Jun 18, 2026. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 26, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

A loss of exterior lights can reduce the visibility of the vehicle to other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash. Inoperative equipment can delay emergency response, increasing the risk of injury.

Farber Specialty Vehicles (Farber Specialty) is recalling certain 2025 45 MCXCR and 2025-2026 HX620 SBA 6X4 emergency vehicles.

The touchscreen display may stop responding to touch commands or fail to power on, preventing the activation of exterior emergency lights, as well as fire fighting and other emergency equipment.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
  • Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
