What’s wrong with it?
A vehicle that does not emit sound may fail to alert pedestrians of a moving vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash or injury.
Denago EV is recalling certain 2024-2025 Nomad, 2024-2026 Nomad XL, 2026 Scout 2, 2026 Scout 4, 2024-2026 Rover XL, 2024-2026 Rover XXL, and 2024-2026 Rover XL6 vehicles.
The vehicles may fail to make pedestrian warning sounds when in motion.
As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 141, “Minimum Sound Requirements for Hybrid and Electric Vehicles.”

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
