What’s wrong with it?
Turn signals that fail to activate as intended increase the risk of a crash.
BMW of North America, LLC (BMW) is recalling one 2026 S 1000 RR motorcycle.
The turn signal reset button can be unintentionally activated at the same time as the turn signal, resulting in an inoperative turn signal.
As such, this vehicle fails to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.”

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
