What’s wrong with it?
A door that cannot be locked may open unexpectedly during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
Orange EV (OEV) is recalling certain 2018-2023 T-Series Pure Electric and 2024-2026 e-TRIEVER terminal trucks.
The driver’s side door handles may be missing a lock.
As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 206, “Door Locks and Door Retention Components.”

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
