What’s wrong with it?
An incorrectly programmed ABS may cause a loss of ABS and degrade brake balance, increasing the distance needed to stop and the risk of a crash.
Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) modules with part number EB5Z-2C219-B, DB5Z-2C219-B, CB5Z-2C219-C, DL1Z-2C219-A, or DT4Z-2C219-B.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
