The short answer

NHTSA received Dometic Corporation’s report on May 8, 2026. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 20, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

A detached lid can become a road hazard for other vehicles, increasing the risk of a crash.

Dometic Corporation (Dometic) is recalling certain Fan-Tastic Vent Fans with part numbers 9610007185, 9610007184, 9610007183, 9610007182, 9610007181, and 9610007180.

The vent fan assembly may be missing a hinge pin, allowing the lid to detach.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
