What’s wrong with it?
A fractured brake caliper can cause loss of brake fluid and brake pressure, increasing the risk of a crash.
Motorcar Parts of America, Inc.
(MPA) is recalling certain brake calipers with part numbers BC155111 and BC155110 sold as replacement parts for 2008-2025 Ford E-450 Super Duty vehicles.
The caliper piston bore wall may not meet the proper specification, causing the caliper to fracture.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
