The short answer

NHTSA received Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)’s report on Oct 7, 2025. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 20, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

A rearview image that does not display properly reduces the driver’s view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain Mopar Radios with part numbers 68639497AA, 68584184AA, and 68505724AA.

The printed circuit board and software for the rearview camera may contain defects that cause the rearview camera image not to display properly.

As such, this equipment fails to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, “Rear Visibility.”

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
