What’s wrong with it?
A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver’s visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain Mopar Center Stack Displays with part number 68631354AA.
The display (DCSD) contains a microprocessor with a software error and an improper voltage regulator connection, which may prevent the rearview camera image from displaying.
As such, this equipment fails to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, “Rear Visibility.”

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
