What’s wrong with it?
A lift gate that fails during operation increases the risk of injury.
Hiab USA Inc.
(Hiab) is recalling certain Waltco ZS-MK2 series lift gates, with model numbers ZS-MK2-STD 2000-155 12V and ZS-MK2-SLI 2000-155 12V.
The cylinder pin in the slide liftgate may be insufficiently lubricated, which can cause the pin to seize, resulting in lift gate failure.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
