What’s wrong with it?
Incorrect lockout instructions can mislead the operator into thinking the high voltage system is shut down, increasing the risk of injury by electrical shock.
Orange EV (OEV) is recalling certain 2017-2024 T-Series and 2023-2024 e-TRIEVER terminal trucks.
The Emergency Response Guide (ERG), operator, maintenance, and service manuals incorrectly state that the emergency stop button in the vehicle cab will shut off and lock out the high voltage system.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
