What’s wrong with it?
Driving with a disabled electronic stability control system can increase the risk of a crash.
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain MOPAR anti-lock braking system (ABS) control modules, used as replacement parts in certain 2019, 2021-2024 Ram 1500 vehicles.
Please see the recall report for the complete list of part numbers.
Due to a software malfunction, the ABS control module may disable the electronic stability control system.
As such, these ABS control modules fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 126, “Electronic Stability Control Systems.”

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
