The short answer

NHTSA received AROW Global Corp’s report on Jun 21, 2024. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 20, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

A window that opens during a crash may not properly retain passengers as intended, increasing the risk of injury.

AROW Global Corp (AROW) is recalling certain MV210 emergency exit windows.

The emergency exit window latch can fail, allowing the window to open during a crash.

As such, these emergency exit windows fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 217, “Bus Emergency Exits and Window Retention and Release.”

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
