The short answer

NHTSA received Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)’s report on Jun 6, 2024. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 20, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

Driving with a disabled electronic stability control system can increase the risk of a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain MOPAR anti-lock braking system (ABS) control modules, used as replacement parts in certain 2022 Dodge Durango and Ram 2500 and 3500 vehicles.

Due to a software malfunction, the ABS control module may disable the electronic stability control system.

As such, these ABS modules fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 126, “Electronic Stability Control Systems.”

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
