The short answer

NHTSA received Daimler Trucks North America, LLC’s report on Dec 21, 2023. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 28, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

A loss of drive power can increase the risk of a crash.

Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2024 Thomas Built SAF-T-LINER C2 Jouley and 2023-2024 FCCC MT50E electric transit buses.

The high voltage inverter cable may not be secured properly, which can result in a loss of drive power.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
  • Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
