What’s wrong with it?
A loss of tire pressure increases the risk of a crash.
Dexter Axle Company (Dexter Axle) is recalling certain Goodride ST 200 tire and wheel assemblies with size: ST235/80R16 LRE tires.
The sidewall of the tires may experience bubbling and separate, causing loss of tire pressure.
As such, these tires and wheel assemblies fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 119, “New Pneumatic Tires-Other Than Passenger Cars.”

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
- Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
