The short answer

NHTSA received RevHD’s report on Jul 25, 2023. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 28, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

Loss of lubricant in the wheel end can overheat the wheel bearings, increasing the risk of a fire. In addition, a loose hubcap lens can detach and increase the risk of a crash.

RevHD is recalling certain oil and PSI oil Hubcaps with part number RHO-T03&-S01&-T04, and sizes 6” to 8”.

The lens on the hubcaps may become loose, causing lubricant to leak out of the wheel end.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
