What’s wrong with it?
Dislodged striker bolts can cause the rear door latch to fail, allowing the door to open during a crash, and increasing the risk of injury.
Braun Ambulance (Braun) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Chief XL, Express, Express Plus, Liberty, Super Chief, TLC, and Signature Series ambulances.
The rear door top striker bolts may become loose and dislodge while the vehicle is in motion.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
