NHTSA received Chrysler (FCA US, LLC)’s report on Nov 23, 2021. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 20, 2026.
Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.
What’s wrong with it?
A rearview camera that does not display an image reduces the driver’s rear view, increasing the risk of a crash.
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain Mopar Trailer Reverse Steering Control Modules (TRSCM) with part numbers 68423566AE and 68423566AF.
The TRSCM may prevent the rearview image from displaying.
As such, these modules fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 111, “Rear Visibility.”

- Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
