What’s wrong with it?
The unsecured rear axle may shift sideways, resulting in loss of control of the vehicle, thereby increasing the risk of crash.
E-One Incorporated (E-One) is recalling certain 2018-2020 Cyclone 2 and Typhoon ambulances.
The lower shock mount bracket may cause the U-bolts to bind and break, possibly preventing the rear axle from remaining secured.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
