What’s wrong with it?
A sudden loss of drive power and loss of power steering increases the risk of a crash.
Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2019 Freightliner Business Class M2 trucks equipped with Cummins PowerDrive EV drivetrains, part numbers 4000EV, 6000EV, and 7000EV.
A connector within the wire harness may become unplugged and cause loss of communication between control modules, resulting in sudden loss of drive power and power steering.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
