What’s wrong with it?
Unintended winch operation can increase the risk of injury.
Quadratec, Inc.
(Quadratec) is recalling Q-Performance Stealth Series 10,000 and 12,000 lb. recovery winches, part numbers 92122.4010, 92122.4011, 92122.4020 and 9212.4021.
During high temperature operation, expansion within the processor/switch may result in power flow to the winch motor, causing unintended operation of the winch.

What the record doesn’t say

- Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
