The short answer

NHTSA received Chrysler (FCA US LLC)’s report on Aug 27, 2020. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 21, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

A pedal that does not return as expected may affect the vehicle’s deceleration, thereby increasing the risk of a crash.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain Mopar All-Weather Floor Mat Kits (Crew - Big/Horn/Laramie, and Crew - Laramie with product numbers 82215320AB, 82215320AC, 82215321AB, 82215321AC, 82215322AB, 82215323AB, 82215322AC, 82215323AC, 82215421AB, 82215421AC, 82215422AB, and 82215422AC) sold as accessory equipment in 2018, 2019 and 2020 for use in 2019-2020 Ram 1500 vehicles with adjustable pedals.

In certain accelerator pedal positions, the floormats may prevent the pedal from returning to the normal resting (idle) position.

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
