What’s wrong with it?
The excessive weight can negatively impact the vehicle stability, increasing the risk of crash.
Erwin Hymer Group USA LP dba American Fastbacks (American Fastbacks) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Badlands, Force Recon, Stryker, and Defcon models of modified-Jeep Wrangler vehicles.
These vehicles may be between 400 and 600 pounds above the allowable Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) due to the replacement parts that were installed on the vehicle which increased the overall weight.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
