The short answer

NHTSA received ASA Electronics, LLC.’s report on Oct 11, 2019. Copied from NHTSA on Oct 20, 2026.

Every line below is in NHTSA’s own words, with its source beside it.

What’s wrong with it?

Without the mirror monitor, the driver may not be able to see hazards behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

ASA Electronics, LLC.

(ASA) is recalling certain Relay/Capacitor Modules in part number PVOM74MMFFK, which was the remedy part in prior recall 19E009 for Voyager rear camera displays.

The modules may prematurely fail, causing the Voyager rear camera display to have a loss of power.

As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, “Rearview Mirrors.”

What the record doesn’t say

  • NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt.
  • Which ones, by part or lot: the recall’s report on NHTSA’s site gives them where the maker did; this file gives part numbers only where its maker listed them.
  • How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
