What’s wrong with it?
Rapid air loss can increase the risk of a crash.
Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2019 Freightliner 108SD, 114SD, 122SD and Business Class M2 trucks and Western Star 4700 and 4900 trucks, equipped with certain Bridgestone M854 tires with date codes 2418-2518, Bridgestone M860A tires with date code 2518, and Bridgestone M864 tires with date codes 2318-2418, all of size 425/65R22.5.
The sidewall steel body cords may be exposed, which can cause unexpected, rapid air loss during use.

What the record doesn’t say
- NHTSA’s recall file doesn’t say whether anyone was hurt. Owners’ complaints are counted on each vehicle’s page.
- Whether one vehicle or seat has been fixed: only its maker, or NHTSA’s lookup with a VIN, can say.
- How many have been returned or fixed isn’t in the notice.
